Atlas contains deep-sky objects, selected double stars with detailed maps and variable stars with a detailed index. You can generate detailed maps on aavso.org. PDF version of the atlas is interactive. You can click on the most important objects or their names and all planetary nebulae in the atlas apart from two that are too small. You can also click on the page numbers and the edges of the pages in the atlas to get to another page. You can click on the page numbers in the index of Messier objects, Caldwell objects, double stars and variable stars. By clicking on the black page numbers in the atlas, you return back to the map index page. Use the PDF version for planning of your observation or for astrophotography and if you are a visual observer, use the printed version.

I wish all observers a great time with their telescopes under a dark sky!

(Final version - updated 17. Jan 2024 - there are not going to be any more updates this year. Even if there are some updates, they will affect only the magnitudes and B-V value of some stars in the index. Even so, the difference is going to be mostly in the decimal numbers.)

Double Stars

This book contains 194 of the most interesting double and multiple stellar systems. There is a table with basic details about the main pair of the system and a map for every double star. At the end of the book there is a periodic table of all 194 double stars. You can download the maps and use them in your tablet or phone when observing with your telescope.
